The Crystal Awards were created in 1992 by WVDO members Paulette Peynet, Lynn Michael Allmeyer, Lin Murakami and Wendy Sample. These members created the awards to publicly acknowledge fundraising professionals at all levels of experience and to create pride in our shared profession. Today the Crystal Awards have a three-fold purpose: recognition, celebration and inspiration.
