SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
WVDO Mission Statement:

Willamette Valley Development Officers (WVDO) serves people raising funds for nonprofit organizations by linking them with others in the community and providing affordable opportunities for their professional growth and education.

Why support WVDO?

WVDO is Oregon’s largest organization for development professionals, with a current membership of more than 700 individuals representing nonprofit organizations of all types and sizes. Now in its 27th year, WVDO is our regions premier service organization for development officers, executive directors, board members, event coordinators, marketing managers and other nonprofit professionals and community leaders.

How sponsorship addresses a community need:

While Oregonians are increasing their individual giving to charitable organizations and causes, it is the job of development professionals to encourage this trend and to continually find creative ways of engaging and involving donors and volunteers to meet all kinds of crucial community needs.  With these needs growing each year, development professionals are faced with increasing pressures to generate additional revenue and come up with new long-term solutions.

Sponsorship revenue keeps WVDO programs, services and annual membership dues affordable for nonprofit professionals. WVDO is an important resource for local nonprofit professionals; it provides regular and affordable training to renew, educate and inspire those of us who work to advance philanthropy and volunteerism in the community. WVDO programs and services keep us networked with one another, aware of the good ideas and best practices of our peers, and excited and inspired about what we do. This enables development professionals to continue to raise funds to support more than 600 charities in the Portland metro and Willamette Valley region, from arts to social service, from the environment to education.
