Rock Star Keynote: "Nonprofits' Role in the Coming Zombie Apocalypse" with speaker Vu Le

The nonprofit sector, comprising passionate and really good-looking people, faces all sorts of challenges, from society’s unrealistic expectations, to restricted funding, to bizsplaining, to the endless quest for sustainability. But with society’s changing demographics and the increase in quantity and complexity of problems plaguing our community, we must challenge our ways of thinking, own our awesomeness, and do things differently. Vu Le will discuss the changing nonprofit landscape and what we as a sector must do to prepare ourselves for the metaphorical and possibly literal zombie apocalypse.

Vu Le is the writer behind the humor blog nonprofitwithballs.com. He is also the humor writer for Blue Avocado. Vu is the Executive Director of an organization in Seattle, Rainier Valley Corps, which aims to bring more leaders of color in to the nonprofit sector. He was recently recognized by the Chronicle of Philanthropy as a “Writer with Attitude.”
